Our Other School Programs

MacKillop Seasons is part of The MacKillop Institute. The Institute offers many more programs for schools and workplaces. These help build safety, wellbeing and resilience. They are run by our educators, psychologists and clinicians.

Programs for whole-school wellbeing

These programs help a whole school build a safe and caring place to learn and work.

  • ReLATE. A whole-school wellbeing model. It gives staff the tools to prevent and respond to stress and trauma, and to lift both staff and student wellbeing.
  • Trauma-Informed Practice. A grounding in what trauma is, how it affects people, and how staff can help students feel safe.
  • Building Safe and Engaged Classrooms. A two-day workshop on trauma-responsive classrooms and positive behaviour.
  • Student Co-Regulation. A two-day course on helping students who are struggling to manage their feelings, so classrooms feel calm and safe.

Programs for child safety

These programs help adults keep children safe and respond well to concerns.

  • Power to Kids in Schools. A whole-school model to prevent and respond to child sexual exploitation, harmful sexual behaviours and relationship violence.
  • Power to Kids eLearning. A self-paced course that helps adults prevent and respond to child sexual abuse.

Programs for student mental health

These programs help staff notice and support students who are doing it tough.

  • Student Mental Health Literacy. A one or two-day course with practical ways to recognise, respond to and support students facing common mental health challenges.
  • Seasons for Life. A government-funded project for high schools. It offers training to help prevent suicide among young people.

  • Stormbirds. A one-day course that helps adults support children and young people after a natural disaster.

Programs for staff and leaders

These programs support the wellbeing and skills of the adults in a school.
