Description

Train ONLINE to become a certified Seasons for Growth Companion in the Children and Young People's Program. This professional development training is delivered over two days by an authorised Trainer and enables educators and professionals to facilitate the Seasons for Growth small group program in their schools or communities. This is a specialised training with a focus on the needs of secondary school students.

Included: Companion manual and program journal(s), online delivery via Zoom, GST

Outcome

Seasons for Growth provides the support and space for children and young people to:
  • Learn about how different people respond to change, loss and grief
  • Understand that it is normal to experience a range of grief reactions
  • Explore new approaches to dealing with change, loss and grief in their lives 
  • Build communication, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Participate in a supportive network of peers and adults
  • Integrate their new learning into their relationships with family, friends and others.
Conditions
  • To successfully participate, you will need your own device, with camera and microphone, and reliable internet access. All participants are required to have the camera on during the training. For effective participation in breakout rooms and to ensure attendance is correctly recorded, please do not share a computer.
  • Ensure you are available to attend the FULL TWO days as this is a requirement of your certification to deliver the program. We are unable to provide you with an attendance certificate if you do not fully attend.
