Stormbirds (ONLINE) - Disaster Resilience for Children & Young People Companion Training

The most helpful parts of the training were the specific discussions about natural disasters & the secondary impacts, not only for children & young people, but the entire communities

Description

Train as a Stormbirds Companion (facilitator) to run this disaster resilience program with children and young people. Stormbirds is an evidence-informed small-group education program that helps children and young people understand and respond to the impacts of natural disasters and other significant adverse events.

This online professional learning program prepares educators, wellbeing staff and community professionals to facilitate Stormbirds groups within schools and community settings.

Delivered by an authorised MacKillop Seasons trainer, the training provides participants with the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to support children and young people as they navigate disruption, loss, uncertainty and recovery.

By completing the training, participants will be equipped to facilitate the Stormbirds program and help build resilience, connection and hope within their communities. For more information read about the Stormbirds Program.
